assignment/transfer the 80 cents of land in Survey No. 520/2 Anaiyur Village, Sivakasi Taluk to the petitioner on payment of the value of the land or by exchange of some other land belonging to the petitioner with a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

I have heard Mr.A.V.Arun, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Satheesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would invite my attention to the three orders of this Court, dated 24.11.2009, 27.07.2010 and 13.02.2023, where this Court has repeatedly directed the respondents to consider the petitioner's request for assignment and transfer of 80 cents of land on payment of consideration to be fixed by the authorities.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would invite my attention to the proceedings of the Sub-Collector, Ramanathapuram dated 28.08.2024, wherein, the Sub-Collector after detailed enquiry has 2/5

favourably recommended assignment in favour of the petitioner subject to payment of Rs.8,29,600/-. Even thereafter, no steps have been taken by the Revenue Officials to pass final orders. The petitioner has given a representation on 17.02.2025 once again retreating his request and compliance of the directions of this Court on three occasions.

4. Considering the above, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition directing the second respondent to pass final orders taking into account the report of the Sub-Collector, dated 28.08.2024 and pass final orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
