O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.1 herein to consider his representation dated 07.07.2018.

2. A perusal of the said representation shows that the petitioner made a request for making a reference of the industrial dispute consequent upon the failure report dated 21.04.2016.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration today, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.1, 2 & 4 that reference has already been made by the Government to the Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Chennai, by an order dated 25.04.2019. A copy of the same is also placed before this Court and the same is taken on record.

4. In the light of the said order dated 25.04.2019, the relief sought in the present writ petition has become infructuous and the writ petition is closed as having become infructuous. It is open for the petitioner to take further steps pursuant to the order of reference referred to herein above. No costs.
