The prayer made in this Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to recommend the Government to issue notification to convene Jallikattu/Manchuvirattu on 06.03.2019 and consequently, to accord required permission for the said event based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2019. 2/4

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the above said programme for which permission is sought, got over on 06.03.2019, itself. 3.In such perspective of the matter, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition.

4.Accordingly, recording the fair submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
