PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the first respondent to final report within a time frame limit as fixed by this Court for offences U/s. 417 and 420 IPC in Crime No. 147 of 2018, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate,Bhoothapandi, Kanyakumari District in accordance with law.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to file final report in Crime No. 147 of 2018, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bhoothapandi, Kanyakumari District.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by him, the respondent police had registered an FIR in Crime No.147 of 2018, for the offences under Sections 417 and 420 of IPC. But, till now, final report has not been filed in this regard. Hence, he filed this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police had registered an FIR, but, till now, the original documents are not produced by the defacto complainant. Hence, he sought two months time for filing final report.

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.10735 of 2022 4.Recording the same, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No. 147 of 2018 and file final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
