ORDER

The writ petitioner herein was awarded contract by the District Collector cum Chairman, Ramanathapuram District. Alleging that he has not completed the contract in terms of the agreement, the District Collector, Ramanathapuram District has passed the impugned order blacklisting the writ petitioner for a period of three years. It is well settled that an order of blacklisting has serious civil consequences for the contractor and that therefore, the principle of natural justice must be followed.

2.Therefore, the order impugned in this writ petition is set aside. The respondents are at liberty to pass orders afresh in accordance with law. This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
