ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 29.06.2021, wherein, the petitioner has sought for cancellation of the settlement deed, dated 25.11.2009.

2. Heard Mr.V.Manikandan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. In the considered view of this Court, the present Writ Petition is not maintainable. The grievance expressed by the petitioner while seeking for the cancellation of the settlement deed, can be gone into only by a competent Civil Court and the respondents do not have any power to cancel any document. No useful purpose will be served in directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner, since they do not have the power to deal with the representation.

3. In view of the above, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law and accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
