... Respondent PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order in Na.Ka.A4/37164/2017 dated 03.12.2020 on the file of the respondent and quash the same and further directing the respondent to provide appointment under compassionate ground to the petitioner.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.A4/37164/2017 dated 03.12.2020 whereby the claim made by the petitioner was negatived on the ground that the 1/4
petitioner's father has been drawing pension of an amount of Rs.22,526/- per month being a retired Special Police Inspector. The said order has not been challenged immediately after the same was passed on 03.12.2020. However, the petitioner herein is not even the applicant based upon which the impugned order came to be passed. The petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition challenging the proceedings dated 03.12.2020. Absolutely, no reasons are assigned either in the affidavit or during the course of argument of the learned counsel for the petitioner for the delay in approaching this Court of more than 5 years. Further, it is also not in dispute that the father of the petitioner has been drawing pension of Rs.22,526/- for all these years and has been continuing to draw the same.
2. In the circumstances, for want of explaining the delay properly and also on the ground that the petitioner herein is not even the applicant seeking compassionate appointment and also on the ground that the petitioner is aged about 34 years, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition and this Court is of the considered view that absolutely the petitioner has no right to seek compassionate appointment at the age of 34 years. 2/4
3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. 17.04.2026 CM TO
