(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J.) The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to cancel the patta https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.2179 wrongly granting in favour of the 5th respondent, relating with the government poramboke land, measuring 0.65.5 Ares in S.No.416/1 in Vellanur Village in Kulathoor Taluk in Pudukottai District and to retrieve the said land.

2.The prayer in the writ petition has to be refused in the light of Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act read with Rule 14 of the Patta Passbook Rules, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the order of the Tahsildar, he has to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer within a period of thirty

(30) days from the date of receipt of such order.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of the order. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
