PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give protection for the celebration of the Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathi Amman, Sri Malaiyali Swamy and Sri Kaliamman Festival in the Pilapalayam Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District from 27.07.2018 to 31.07.2018.

Festival in question is conducted during the Tamil Month of Aadi. 2.It seems that there is rivalry between the two parties in conducting the festival. In this regard, a representation dated 01.08.2018 is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kulithalai. Taking into consideration the limited time left, the learned Government Advocate on instructions submitted that all the parties concerned can approach before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kulithalai on 10.08.2018 at 11.00 am and make their submissions.

3.In the facts and circumstances of the case, these Writ Petitions are disposed of with a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kulithalai to conduct peace meeting on 10.08.2018 at 11.00 am in his office among the parties and take a decision on conducting of the Bhagavathi Amman Temple festival. In view of the fact that the festival is supposed to be conducted by the end of the Tamil Month of Aadi, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kulithalai is directed to take decision on 10.08.2018 itself.
