Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the fifth respondent.

The prayer made in the writ petition is unexceptionable. All that the petitioner wants is that the name boards must be installed adjacent to the respective water-bodies with all the relevant particulars. Obviously, the second respondent would be in possession of all the relevant details.

3. The second respondent is directed to erect the name boards adjacent to all the water bodies with all the relevant particulars as sought for by the writ petitioner. Installation of such name boards alone would ensure that the tank bed area is not reduced and that would definitely prevent future encroachments. This exercise shall be done within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands allowed.
