ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondent to register the sale deed in favour of the petitioner executed by M.Rathnakumar

and M.Anbukumar without original mother document number 1006/1984 in Temporary No.TP/217027058/2025 dated 21.04.2025.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she purchased the property to an extent of 18.50 Ares in Vilangudi Additional Revenue Village, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District from M.Rathnakumar and M.Anbukumar. She presented the document for registration on 21.04.2025. The respondent/Sub Registrar refused to receive the document stating that the original settlement deed executed in favour of one Pichaiyammal, mother of the petitioner's vendors, had not been enclosed. Hence, this Writ Petition.

3. I heard Mr.M.Vivek for the petitioner and Mr.P.T.Thiraviyam, learned Government Advocate for the respondent.

4. Mr.P.T.Thiraviyam states that the respondent did not insist upon the original documents. He further states, on instructions, that in case the petitioner presents the sale deed, the same will be registered without insisting upon the original document, if it is otherwise in order.

5. In the light of the submission made by Mr.P.T.Thiraviyam that the document will be registered without insisting upon the parent deed in favour of Pichaiyammal, mother of the petitioner's vendors, this Writ Petition is

ordered. There shall be a direction to the respondent to register the document presented by the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of uploading of this order in the website of this Court. No costs. 28.04.2025 NCC :
