Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents to produce the body of the detenue namely Kalimuthu, son of Lakshmanan aged about 32 years, presently confined in the Central Prison, Trichy before this Court and set him at liberty and to call for records pertaining to the order of detention passed by the second respondent in P.D.O.No.87/2019 dated 30.11.2019 and set aside the same.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that in this case, the impugned detention order came to be passed on 30.11.2019 and the period of one year got expired on 01.12.2020 and therefore, the prayer sought for in this habeas corpus petition has become infructuous.
