ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to file the final report in Crime No.180 of 2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Viralimalai Police Station, Pudukkottai District within three weeks.

2.By consent of both side, this criminal original petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.Wherever any information in relation to the commission of cognizable offence or non cognizable offence is received, the police officer shall adhere to the procedure contemplated under Sections and Cr.P.C and after conducting necessary enquiry/investigation, file final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. Such investigation under Chapter -XII Cr.P.C shall be completed without any unnecessary delay. The delay in filing the final report in the present case is inordinate and unjustified. report within a stipulated time, if it is not already filed. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.180 of 2016 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Viralimalai Police Station, Pudukkottai District and file the final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
