2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows:- "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or order or direction in the nature of writ the respondents herein to grant permission to the petitioner for Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman at Kurichi, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District on 01.05.2023 at 8.30 PM to 11.30 PM for the Aadal Padal dance programme."

4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 20.04.2023 well in advance and grant permission for 'Aadal Padal programme' between 07:00 p.m. and 09:00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.
