ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to amend the name of the 2nd petitioner as Janakiraman instead of Johnpandiyan in Crl OP.(MD). No.5411 of 2026 and the order, dated 16.03.2026.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the FIR, the name of the 2nd petitioner has been wrongly mentioned as Johnpandiyan instead of Janakiraman, which has been reflected in the petition and in the order, dated 16.03.2026. Hence, prays to amend the name of the 2nd petitioner. 3.Since the name of the 2nd petitioner has been mentioned as Johnpandiyan in the FIR, the learned Magistrate is directed to accept the sureties of the petitioner, if he is able to produce the documents to show his original name as Janakiraman.

4.In view of the above observations, amendment will arise at this juncture. Since the petition for amendment is pending before this Court, time is extended for a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order, to comply with the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.OP(MD) No.5411 of 2026, dated 16.03.2026. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
