COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writs of Mandamus, forbearing the third respondent from publishing the results of the direct recruitment for the vacancies for the post of Forester (included in the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service) in the Forest Department notified vide Advertisement No. 1/2018, Notification No.1-Forester, dated 06.10.2018 till the second respondent prepare and publish the promotion list of the Forest Guards fit for promotion to the post of Forester by duly following the rota-quota rule as enshrined in Rule No/12 (2) (A) governing the appointment of Forester and direct the second respondent to prepare and publish promotion list of the Forest Guards to the post of Forester from 2016 to 2018 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

respondent prepares and publishes the promotion list of the Forest Guards to the post of Forester from 2016 to 2018.

It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that subsequent to the filing of these Writ Petitions, the results of the direct recruitment for the vacancies to the post of Forester has already been published on 16.04.2019 and the second respondent has also issued allotment orders to the petitioners being fit for temporary panel as Foresters for the panel years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

3. Since the relief sought for by the petitioners has already been published and the petitioners' name have also been included in the temporary panel for the panel years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, these Writ Petitions stand dismissed as infructous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
