PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the third respondent from publishing the results of the direct recruitment for the vacancies for the post of Forester (included in the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service) in the Forest Department notified vide Advertisement No.1/2018, Notification No.1-Forester, dated 06.10.2018 till the second respondent prepare and publish the promotion list of the Forest Guards fit for promotion to the post of Forester by duly following the rota-quota rule as enshrined in Rule No/12 (2) (A) governing the appointment of Forester and direct the second respondent to prepare and publish promotion list of the Forest Guards to the post of Forester from 2016 to 2018 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court. This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus to forbear the third respondent from publishing the results of the direct recruitment for the vacancies for the post of Forester (included in the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service) in the Forest Department notified vide Advertisement No.1/2018, Notification No.1-Forester, dated 06.10.2018, till the second respondent prepares and publishes the promotion list of the Forest Guards to the post of Forester from 2016 to 2018.

2. It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Special Government Pleader that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, the results of the direct recruitment for the vacancies to the post of Forester have already been published on 16.04.2019 and the second respondent has also issued the allotment order to the petitioner being fit for temporary panel as Forester for the panel year 2016-2017.

3. Since the results have already been published and the petitioner's name has also been included in the temporary panel for the panel year 2016-2017, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
