O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent Police to expedite the investigation and file final report in Crime No.35 of 2019, dated 02.11.2019, for the offences under Sections 406, 468, 420 and 506 (i) of I.P.C., pending on the file of the respondent Police. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions, would submit that in respect of Crime No.35 of 2019, the investigation has almost been completed. Only because of the reason that the report has not been received from the Forensic Department, the respondent Police is not in a position to file a final report. In this regard, he asks two more months for completing the investigation and to file a final report. 4.Now upon considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since a case has been registered for the offences punishable under Secions 406, 468, 420 and 506 (i) of I.P.C., this Court grants considerable time for completing the investigation.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10249 of 2020 5.Therefore, the respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.35 of 2019 and file a final report before the concerned Jurisdictional Court within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
