O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2026. In the said representation, the petitioner requested the second respondent to correct the name of the deceased in the legal heirship certificate dated 10.01.2022 as "Velli Adaikalam Poosari" instead of "V.V.P. Adaikalam Poosari."

2. The said legal heirship certificate was issued in favour of one V.A. Karuppaiah, a retired Village Administrative Officer. There is a dispute between the petitioner and the said V.A. Karuppaiah with regard to the management of a temple belonging to the HR & CE Department.

3. Heard Mr. M.M. Manivelpandian, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. P. Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Whether the name of the deceased in the legal heirship certificate requires correction or not can be considered only after conducting an enquiry and after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as V.A. Karuppaiah.

5. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after providing sufficient opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned.

6. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of six

(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.
