This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file the final report in connection with Crime No.229 of 2024 dated 04.10.2024 on the file of the respondent police.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No. 229 of 2024 and for the same, investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks two months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.
3.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition and the respondent police seeks two months time to file final report, the respondent police is directed to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of this order.
