This writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus, directing the respondents Nos.1, 2 & 3 to settle his surrender leave salary so for not given by the Respondent Corporation for 135 days for the value of Rs.2,93,442.00 (Rupees Two Lakh Ninty Three Thousand Four hundred and Forty Two only) in respect of the years 2011 to 2023 together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum payable from the date of for retirement till the date of actual payment.
2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner had attained superannuation on 30.06.2023. However, his surrender leave salary was not paid, due to paucity of fund. The petitioner has sent a representation on 19.04.2025, seeking the above said benefits. So far, there is no response from the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to disburse the eligible surrender leave salary of the writ petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve
(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
