ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to re-measure the petitioner's height and permit the petitioner to participate in the subsequent selection process for the post "Forest Guard" within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court in pursuant to the notification issued by the respondent vide advertisement No.1/2018, dated 06.10.2018.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent would submit that pursuant to the order passed by this Court, dated 04.07.2019, the petitioner has appeared for physical standard verification conducted by the respondent on 15.07.2019. Based on the said physical verification, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent has also submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4
WP(MD).No.4823 of 2019 a report before this Court, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner's height is 162.7 cm as against the required height of 163 cm., and therefore, he is not eligible for appointment to the post of Forest Guard.
3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not eligible for the post of "Forest Guard". Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
