This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a declaration that the reservation made in respect of the petitioner's land situated at Srirangam Town, Ward C, Block 1, Vellithirumutham Village-originally bearing Old T.S.No.5/4D, later sub-divided as T.S.No.5/4D35A3 and now identified as T.S.No. 5/4D35A5, measuring an extent of 151⁄2 cents and forming part of the Tiruchirappalli Local Planning Area under the Tiruchirappalli Corporation Bypass Road Detailed Development Plan No.1 (Map No.5), vide DDTP(V)/DTCP/Spl.CTCP.No.25/2001 dated 16.05.2001 has lapsed, in the light of Section 38 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is under active consideration and that certain documents have been sought from the petitioner. It was further submitted that, upon production of the required documents by the petitioner, the respondents will consider the matter and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
4. In the light of the above submissions, the petitioner is directed to furnish the required documents to the respondents. Upon receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider the representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner and all other persons who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits. 3/6
