ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) The Writ Petition has been filed as a Public Interest Litigation, seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the patta issued in the name of the fifth respondent and to remove the encroachment made by the fifth respondent, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025.

2.Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, would submit that after UDR, the subject land in question was converted and a patta was issued in favour of the fifth respondent. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved, he may prefer an appeal before the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer. 2/5

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and also considering the fact that patta has been issued in favour of the fifth respondent, the petitioner is at liberty to file an appeal before the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer in the manner known to law, if so advised.

4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
