ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent.

2. The writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to re-issue the petitioner's passport bearing No.P6526867 based on the petitioner's application dated 19.02.2025.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent submits that he has no information to indicate that any criminal case is spending against the petitioner.

4. It appears that the petitioner has applied for renewal of his passport on 19.02.2025. However, it has not been re-issued despite lapse of almost three months.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner's passport is required for the petitioner for travelling abroad and to return to India, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to re-issue the passport to the petitioner within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index : Yes / No 04.06.2025 Internet : Yes / No apd To
