ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to take steps under the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997, to attach the properties of the accused persons in in FIR No.3 of 2017 on the file of the third respondent. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the accused in the above said crime number is attempting to alienate the properties. The learned counsel further would submit that the respondent police ought to have taken steps under the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997, for attachment of the properties of the accused. However, till date, the respondent police have not taken any action in this regard.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner further would submit that the accused persons are yet to be arrested in this case. Therefore, the present petition has been filed seeking for the above said relief.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the respondent police have registered the FIR in this case on 14.12.2017. The respondent police will take appropriate steps for attachment of the properties and to secure the accused persons, based on the materials collected by them in the course of investigation.

5.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
