Common Prayer: To dispense with the personal appearance of the petitioner/1st contemnor herein before this Court on 15.04.2026, pursuant to the statutory notice issued by this Court on 17.03.2026 in the above contempt.

(In both petitions) For Petitioner : Mr.M.Ajmalkhan Additional Advocate General Assisted by Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam Government Advocate For Respondents : Mr.R.Saravanan COMMON ORDER The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the contemnor submitted that Paragraph No.8 in both the applications have been wrongly drafted and he undertakes that the said paragraphs would be deleted. He further submitted that on 15.04.2026 (today), a meeting has been organized to co-ordinate accessibility of differently-abled persons in exercising their franchise. Due to the said meeting, the said contemnor could not appear despite issuance of statutory notice and he seeks the applications for dispense with the appearance of the contemnor to be allowed. 2.Considering the fact that he had undertaken to recall Paragraph No.8 in the dispense with affidavits, this Court is inclined to allow the applications and the presence of the contemnor in both the applications is hereby 2/4

dispensed with for the present.

3.Post the matters on 02.06.2026.

4.In case if the orders of this Court have not been complied with, it is made clear that this Court would be constrained to initiate appropriate further proceedings.
