ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.09.2020, seeking issuance of patta in respect of the property assigned in favour of his father.

2. According to the petitioner, the property with an extent of 0.40 Hectare in Survey No.222/7 and 0.34 Hectare in Survey No.240/5A of Neerethan Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, was declared as surplus and assigned in favour of petitioner's father. Though he has been in possession and enjoyment of the said property from the date of settlement till date, patta has not been issued in the name of petitioner's father. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 03.09.2020 to the third respondent, seeking issuance of patta in the name of this father. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come forward before this Court by way of this Writ Petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner to the third respondent is under consideration of the third respondent.

4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.09.2020, and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 02.06.2025 NCC :
