[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents from setting up or opening a retail liquor vending shop at Thirunadu, Kathavampatti Village, Iluppoor Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent - TASMAC, on instructions, fairly submitted that the proposal for opening a retail liquor vending shop bearing No.6653 in Thirunadu, Kathavampatti Village, Iluppoor Taluk,

Pudukkottai District has already been dropped and to that effect, he has also produced a copy of the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A8/1581/2020, dated 05.12.2022, issued by the third respondent, before this Court.

3. In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition and the same is, therefore, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
