RESPONDENTS Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary steps for opening the Melur MLA Office, Melur bio-gas cremation building and the unit converting of Melur Municipality Garbage into manure and further direct the respondents to construct a concrete building for Daily Vegetable Market at Melur Municipality within a stipulated time fixed by this Honourable Court and maintain the same, in future, in proper condition based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2019.
ORDER : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.M.ANANTHA MURUGAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.A.K.BASKARAPANDIAN, Special Government Pleader Respondents 1 to 4 and MR.J.GUNASEELAN MUTHIAH, Additional Government Pleader for the fifth respondent, the court made the following order:- (Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J.) The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that even though MLA Office and Bio-gas cremation building have been constructed about seven years ago and neither they have been opened nor put in use. Though the daily market building is in dilapidated condition, the fifth respondent Municipality has not put up new construction for the benefit of the public.
2.Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4.
3.Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Counsel takes notice for the fifth respondent and undertakes to get instructions. 4.Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 shall furnish the details about the cost involved for the construction of the building. 5.Post the matter on 20.03.2019 immediately after admission. sd/- 13/03/2019 / TRUE COPY / Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
