ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2024 and issue the Registration Certificate of his car in Reg No.TN 74 AL 7144.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner had purchased a Toyota Innova Car in the year 2014 and was given temporary registration on 23.07.2014. However, the respondent failed to give permanent number and therefore, the petitioner is unable to use the vehicle.

3. Having considered the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent and considering the fact that the petitioner is in possession of the vehicle which can ply in the road, the Court is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation for permanent registration number for the subject vehicle, purchased by the petitioner in the year 2014, subject to the terms and conditions prescribed under the relevant Rules and pass orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 30 days 2/4
