RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT/ COMPLAINANT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time granted in Crl.O.P(MD)No.8007 of 2020 dated 31.07.2020 for appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nilakottai and thus render justice.
Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.R.A.RAMACHANDHRAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.K.SUYAMBULINGA BHARATHI, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to extend the time limit of the petitioner to execute the sureties and surrender before the concerned Magistrate Court.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that earlier this Court by an order, dated 31.07.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD) No.8007 of 2020 granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner with a condition to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the credit of Cancer Institute (WIA), No.38, Sardar Patel Road, Adyar, Chennai - 20, within a period of two weeks, without prejudice to his rights and contentions before the trial Court. He further submitted that he deposited the amount and also produced the online receipt issued by the Cancer Institute. But, the learned Magistrate seeks original payment receipt.
