The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondent to call the petitioner for interview and appoint her as Forester.
2. The petitioner states that she participated in the selection process for appointment to the post of Forester. She claims that though she is fully qualified for the post of Forester, she was not called for interview.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent made a submission that during verification, the petitioner had not produced any evidence in the form of Government Order in support of her claim regarding educational qualification. In this regard, Paragraph No.9 of the counter affidavit filed by the respondent is extracted hereunder:
"9. It is respectfully submitted that, the petitioner has applied for the post of Forester vide her Registration No.18010036566.
Subsequently, a call letter was sent to the petitioner based on the merit in the online examination. In this call letter, it was specifically mentioned that she should produce all the certificates on 24.02.2019 which are required https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.5570 of 2019 for the post of Forester. On verification of the certificates produced by her on 24.02.2019, it is found that she is not qualified for next level test I.e., Physical Standards Verification as the petitioner has not produced any evidence in the form of Government Order in support of claiming her educational qualification viz., B.Sc. (Information Technology) awarded by Madurai Kamarajar University being equivalent to B.Sc. Computer Science."
4. Beyond all these, the selection was of the year 2019 and the learned Government Advocate brought to the notice of this Court that selection process was completed long back and the case of the petitioner was considered with reference to the reasons as stated above. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to participate in the ensuing selection process, if any notified.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
