Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent herein to initiate appropriate criminal action under the relevant provisions of law on the basis of the petitioners complaint dated 15.04.2025 lodged before the 2nd respondent herein and same was acknowledged in CSR No. 408/2025 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent herein to initiate appropriate criminal action on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 15.04.2025 lodged before the 2nd respondent and same was acknowledged in CSR No. 408/2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he lodged a complaint against one Murugan for causing life threat and damages to the fence before the 2nd respondent on 15.04.2025. Though CSR No.408/2025 has been assigned by the 2nd respondent police, thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that they have received the complaint of the petitioner and the same was closed after conducting enquiry. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication. 4.Considering the prayer of the petitioner and the 2nd respondent police also admitted the receipt of complaint of the petitioner 2/4

and the same was closed after enquiry, it is for the petitioner to challenge the closure report, in the manner known to law, if he is aggreieved. Today, the copy of closure report is also served to the petitioner. 5.Accordingly, this petition is closed by preserving the liberty of the petitioner to challenge the closure report in the manner known to law, if he is aggrieved. However, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a specific complaint before the respondent police, if anybody indulges in criminal activity.
