ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to effect patta in the name of the petitioner for her house site property situated at Survey No.85, Ward No.1 East Madurai, Block No.66, Meenachipuram, Iravathanallur, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai, based on the petitioner's online application for transfer of patta in Application No. 2026/0154/24/000417, dated 13.01.2026.

2. The petitioner claims right over the property by virtue of a registered sale deed vide Document No. 12068 of 2008, dated 24.06.2008, executed through a power of attorney. Thereafter, the petitioner has been in possession of the property. However, as the petitioner has been residing abroad, the revenue records were not mutated in her name. Subsequently, the petitioner executed a fresh power of attorney in favour of T.T. Sabarinath, as the earlier power agent had died. The petitioner now seeks mutation of the revenue records and issuance of patta in her name.

3. In view of the above, the respondent / Tahsildar is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders in 2/4

accordance to law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
