The petitioner filed this writ petition praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to instruct the respondents 2 and 3 to grant police protection to the petitioner at the earliest by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2020.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation dated 05.09.2020 given by the petitioner, was received by the third respondent and thereafter, the same was forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Vilakkuthoon, Madurai, through Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madurai. Accordingly, the representation given by the petitioner had reached the Inspector of Police, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.[MD]No.12821 of 2020 Vilakkuthoon, Madurai and thereupon, an enquiry was made in C.No.391/R2/DCP-Town/L&O/2020. During the time of enquiry, the petitioner had voluntarily gave an undertaking that she is not interfering with the affair of his brother namely M.K.Balaji and also undertakes to approach the Civil Court for appropriate remedy prayed in the representation.
After recording the said undertaking, the Inspector of Police, Vilakkuthoon, Madurai, had closed the enquiry. The said submission is recorded. 4.In view of the above and since for the reason that now the representation given by the petitioner was considered, no further order is necessary in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed.
