Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to take appropriate action against the 7th respondent and other persons under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and the Rules made thereunder and under the Criminal Law by considering the Petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The writ petitioner herein had subsequently filed W.P.(MD)No.10724 of 2020 on the same cause of action. The said writ petition was disposed of in the following terms:- "The petitioner alleges that there has been illegal removal of sand from Survey No.319/13, on the file of M.Puliyankulam Village. Purusant to the notice issued by this Court, the Tahsildar, Kallikudi Taluk, had undertaken the field visit and confirms that allegations made by the petitioner herein. Therefore, the second respondent as well as the sixth 2/4
respondent are directed to take cognizance of the petitioner's complaint and take consequential action."
2.In view of the said direction, no further order is required in this writ petition. However, the authorities concerned are directed to take effective follow up action.
3.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
