Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.S.MALAIKANI, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) for the respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition is filed seeking extension of time to furnish the sureties, as per the earlier order of this Court in Crl.M.P.(MD) No.3889 of 2021 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.4255 of 2021, dated 14.06.2021.
2. This is the second petition. Originally, this Court, vide order dated 31.03.2021, granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.4255 of 2021, with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Pudukottai, and furnish the sureties within 15 days. But, the petitioner did not furnish the sureties as directed by this Court. Therefore, the petitioner filed a petition for extension of time in Crl.M.P.(MD) No.3889 of 2021. This Court, on 14.06.2021, by considering the reasons assigned in the supporting affidavit, has shown some indulgence to the petitioner and granted two weeks' time. CRL MP(MD) No.5208 of 2021 thereafter, the petitioner has not surrendered as directed by this Court. Now, the present petition has been filed seeking extension of time to furnish the sureties.
3. On perusal of the affidavit, it is seen that there is no valid reason assigned by the petitioner for entertaining this petition.
4. Since the petitioner has not assigned any valid reason, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.
