O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed by a wife of deceased employee (Technical Level -5) of the respondent Corporation, seeking disbursement of the earned leave and surrender leave salary along with interest.
2. Though the petitioner's husband has died on 17.07.2017 while in service, the earned leave and surrender leave salary have not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondent on 02.04.2025 for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.
4. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to release the eligible earned leave and surrender leave salary upon the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% p.a., from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
