ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Adal Padal Function on 04.05.2025 and 05.05.2025 from 07.00p.m to 11.00 p.m. at Arulmigu Sri Vattaku Va Selvi Amman Temple, Kaapulingampatti Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 18.04.2025

According to the petitioner, he is one of the villagers and all the villagers have decided to conduct festival at Arulmigu Sri Vattaku Va Selvi Amman Temple, Kaapulingampatti Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District and during the festival they have decided to conduct Adal Padal programme on 04.05.2025 and 05.05.2025 from 07.00 p.m., to 11.00 p.m. In this regard, they have sent representation to the respondents on 18.04.2025 but the same was not considered. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that they have received the representation of the petitioner and they will consider the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
4.This Court heard learned counsels appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5.Considering the prayer of the petitioner and all the villagers have decided to conduct Adal Padal Function on 04.05.2025 and 05.05.2025 from 07.00p.m to 11.00 p.m. at Arulmigu Sri Vattaku Va Selvi Amman Temple, Kaapulingampatti Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District and the representation of the petitioner is pending with the 2nd respondent, this Court hereby directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and provide police protection to conduct Adal Padal Function on 04.05.2025 and 05.05.2025 from 07.00p.m to 11.00 p.m. at Arulmigu Sri Vattaku Va Selvi Amman Temple, Kaapulingampatti Village, Kayathar Taluk, 3/5
Thoothukudi District, by imposing appropriate conditions, in accordance with law.
6. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
