Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent i.e.the District Collector, Ramanathapuram to conduct enquiry and dispose off the disciplinary action initiated against the petitioner in his Memo No.V5/24002/2018, dated 25.05.2021, on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose off the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner in his Memo No.V5/24002/2018, dated 25.05.2021, on merits and in accordance with law.

3.Since the disciplinary proceedings is still pending, it would be appropriate to direct the first respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose of it expeditiously, within a stipulated time. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.12384 of 2022 4.In view of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose off the disciplinary action initiated against the petitioner vide Memo No.V5/24002/2018, dated 25.05.2021, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
