PRAYER :-For Bail in Crime No.141 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 18.05.2022 for the alleged offences under Sections 8(C) r/w 20(b) (ii) (B), 22(b) and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.141 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 23 LSD Stamps from Nithin, 8,700 grams of Ganja and 4.80 Gram of Methamphetamine. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the lower Court has granted regular bail to the co-accused on the ground that the accused persons are college going students and considering their future and also hope that they will correct their mistakes themselves. He would further submit that the petitioner is also college going student and he is studying MCA in Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that no previous case is pending against this petitioner.

5. Considering the duration of incarceration, considering the petitioner's future and also considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Special Court for Trial of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Cases, Madurai, and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.

7.If any new case is registered in future against the petitioner, bail granted by this Court, shall stand automatically cancelled without reference of this Court.
