For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ramanathan For Respondents : Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, Standing Counsel COMMON ORDER W.P.(MD).No.11784 of 2024 has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to award the marks for the questions in 'A' Series Nos.45, 61, 131, 161 and weightage mark of 0.5 for the pass of TET Exam in the year 2022 and permit the petitioner to participate in the further selection process within a time stipulated by this Court by considering the representation dated 30.05.2024 in accordance with law.

W.P.(MD).No.11757 of 2024 has been filed seeking a direction to the the second and third respondents to provide the copy of petitioner's OMR Sheet No.416624 and subsequently, to direct the respondents to call the petitioner for certificate verification, if the petitioner had scored requisite marks as fixed by the respondent board based on the petitioner's representations dated 29.05.2024 and 30.05.2024 within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. As per the direction given by this Court on 15.07.2024, the respondents did not produce the OMR Sheet today.

5. However, Mr.R.J.Karthick and Mr.A.Ramanathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners in both the Writ Petitions submitted that the copies of the OMR sheets have been furnished to them. It is claimed that as per the verification with the key, they seem to have secured more than three and four marks respectively. In such a case, there is force in the arguments of the petitioners that valuation was not done properly.

In view of the above, these Writ Petitions are disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioners to appear before the Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board, Dr.MGR Centenary Building, College Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai-600 006, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and give a representation explaining as to how many marks were omitted to be given to them despite they have given right answers for some questions even according to the key answers and thereafter, the Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board, shall pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks thereafter. In the event of awarding additional marks to the petitioners, then the Secretary, Teachers Recruitment Board, has to release the 4/7

revised selection list by giving an intimation to the Director, School of Education Department, D.P.I DPI Compound, College Road, Chennai-600 006 and taking into consideration of the provisional list already released. The copy of this order is to be served upon the Director, School of Education Department. No costs.
