O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property situated in Old S.No. 84/22 and New Survey No. 493/22 in Sivagangai Taluk, Malampatti Group, Manickampatti Village, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 10.01.2023.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.B.Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he has been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property by putting up a residential house. By virtue of his long possession, he submitted a representation on 10.01.2023, before the District Collector seeking issuance of patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.01.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
