Mr.A.Thirumurthy For Respondents : Mr.R.Sethuraman 1 and 2 Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER The Petitioners have come forward with these Writ Petitions seeking direction to the respondents to consider the Petitioners' seniority in the post of Secondary Grade Teachers from 2.1.1998 and the Petitioners first place and second place respectively in the ''Promotion Panel dated 1.6.2018 of the Secondary Grade Teachers fit for promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant(Social Science)'' and promote the Petitioners to the post of B.T.Assistant(Social Science) in Madurai District in the counselling to be held on 16.8.2018 2.Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.When the matters came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the counselling for B.T.Assistant(Social Science) is scheduled to be held on 16.08.2018. In this regard the Petitioners have made representations on 7.8.2018 and 09.08.2018 respectively to the first respondent. The learned counsel would further submit that the said representations may be considered before the commencement of counselling to be held on 16.08.2018.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners within the time stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the submission, the first respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioners, dated 7.8.2018 and 09.08.2018 and to pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law before 2.00 p.m on 16.8.2018 and thereafter to proceed with the counselling scheduled to be held on 16.08.2018 after 2.00 p.m. The petitioners are directed to appear before the authorities concerned on 10.30 a.m on that day. If the Petitioners fail to appear on 16.8.2018, the respondents may record their absence and proceed to pass orders in accordance with law.

6.With the above directions, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
