Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to consider the petitioner representation dated 22/01/2019 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court and consequently direct him to deposit the award amount, Solatium and Interest accrued, as per the Award passed in L.A.C.O.P.No.191 of 2003 on 18/07/2003 by the Learned III Additional Subordinate Judge, Madurai.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner's land was acquired under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The land acquisition officer passed an away quantifying the compensation payable to the petitioner at Rs.3,70,496/-. This amount was paid. Aggrieved by the quantum, the petitioner sought reference to the civil Court. The civil Court enhanced the valuation.(*) The respondent is directed to make the calculation regarding the amount payable to the writ petitioner and pay the same to the writ petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.The writ petition is allowed accordingly.
