O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct direct the learned Sessions Judge, (Mahila) Court, Madurai to expedite the trial and dispose the case in S.C.No.343 of 2019 on its file as time frame fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case. Based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Cr.No.66 of 2017 against the accused persons. After filing of final report, it has been committed to Court of Sessions and pending in SC No.343 of 2019. Though the occurrence took place in the year 2017, so far case is pending without any disposal. Therefore, seeks for speedy disposal and this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case has been registered in Cr.No.66 of 2017 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 366, 376, 511 IPC. After completion of investigation, they have filed the charge sheet before the concerned Court and the same was 2/4

committed to the Court of Sessions. In this case, PW1 was examined and posted for examination of further witnesses. The respondent police is ready to produce the witnesses as directed by the trial Court and cooperate to complete the trial proceedings. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and also considering the long pendency of the case, this Court hereby directs the learned Sessions Judge, (Mahila) Court, Madurai to complete the trial proceedings in S.C.No.343 of 2019 as early as possible without giving long adjournments, beyond 1 week. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
