ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of patta, in the light of order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No. 9454 of 2005, dated 14.12.2007.

2. I have heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite almost two decades having been passed since the said order came to be passed by the Court, absolutely no positive steps have been taken by the respondents towards issuance of patta to the petitioner.

4. I have gone through the order of this Court in W.P.(MD) No. 9454 of 2005, dated 14.12.2007, which has been filed by the petitioner's mother in the year 2005 itself. This Court by order dated 14.12.2007, disposed of the said writ petition to direct the respondents to consider the request to the petitioner for patta on merits and after giving opportunity to the petitioner to explain her stand that she is not the owner of house bearing door No.7/166, Melakovilapatti, H/O.Kombaipattai Village, and the despite one another son having got employment, the petitioner is 2/5

entitled to get free patta in respect of survey number 373 /1B Battlagundu Village. The said exercise have been completed within a period of three months. However, the grievance of the petitioner that subsequently the petitioner's mother passed away and the petitioner has been knocking of the door of the respondents for issuance of patta. The petitioner has also given representation on 14.01.2023. No orders have been passed even on the said representation, in spite of the long struggle by the petitioner and her mother.

5. The first respondent shall take expeditious steps to carry out necessary reclassification and consider the petitioner's application dated 14.01.2023 on merits and pass final orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
