The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition, to direct the respondents to fill up the vacancy of Anganwadi worker in Muthuramalingampuram Centre, Vilathikulam, by appointing her. 2.According to the petitioner, she participated in the interview held on 19.02.2019 by the second respondent, for appointment to the post of Anganwadi worker. Out of 27 persons, except the petitioner, no one is qualified as per the conditions imposed. The petitioner's name was not considered. The vacancy is reserved for BC Community by communal rotation. The petitioner belongs to BC Reddiar Community and she is residing within 10 kilometers from the centre. She is the only candidate fully qualified. The said post is not filled up so far. gave a representation, dated 20.02.2019. The representation of the petitioner has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits within the time frame fixed by this Court. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
5.The petitioner is seeking a positive direction in the present Writ Petition to appoint her in the post of Anganwadi worker in Muthuramalingampuram Centre, Vilathikulam. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, it is suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.02.2019. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.02.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, if the post is not filled up, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
