Respondent PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petition dated 20.04.2020 made by the petitioner under Section 17 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 relating to denial of his property Rights.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] This petition prays for a direction upon the State Human Rights Commission to consider the petition dated 20.04.2020, filed under Section 17 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. The writ petition has been filed on the ground that there is an inordinate delay in disposal of the petition.

2. Mr.C.Arulvadivel @ Sekar, learned Counsel for the Commission, on instructions, submitted that the complaint has been taken on file and a case has been registered in No.3215 of 2020 and the Commission has called for the report from the District Collector, by notice dated 15.09.2020, and report is awaited and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ __________

W.P.(MD)No.13461 of 2020 the matter will be proceeded in accordance with law.

3. In the light of the above, no orders are required to be issued to the Commission, except to make an observation that the proceedings to be concluded at the earliest. The Registry of the Commission shall communicate the petitioner as to the status of the complaint and in addition, the petitioner can also visit the official website of the Commission to know the status of the complaint.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
